David started Capital on Tap in 2012 with the mission of helping small businesses access funding to grow their business. As CEO, David is responsible for driving the company’s overall strategy as well as ensuring the requisite number of pub nights are hit every month.
Prior to starting Capital on Tap, Dave worked in private equity at KKR and as a management consultant at Bain and Company. Dave is the proud owner of our office mascot, his beloved dog, Buddy.
Damian is the COO at Capital on Tap, focusing on scaling the business and tapping new distribution opportunities. Outside of his normal role, he relishes the responsibility of finding new office space to house the ever-growing contingent of Capital on Tap employees.
Prior to working at Capital on Tap, Damian earned degrees in engineering and law and was an attorney at a law firm in Atlanta. Damian is obsessed with American college football (go Georgia Tech!) and reads an unhealthy amount of books.
Faith PriceHead of Risk
Faith Price is the Head of Risk at Capital on Tap, focusing on underwriting strategy, fraud prevention and collections for the business. She is also one of the few morning people in the office so be prepared for her early morning cheeriness.
Prior to working at Capital on Tap, Faith worked at GE Capital in Australia where she honed her business acumen by underwriting everything from consumers to Fortune 1000 companies. Outside of work, Faith enjoys travelling all corners of Europe, and cheering on her favourite rugby team, the All Blacks.
Shane WilsonHead of Business Intelligence
Shane Wilson is the Head of Business Intelligence at Capital on Tap, running the entire data and analytics side of the business. Shane is our resident SQL expert and hosts classes teaching staff how to use SQL and better understand millions of rows of data.
Prior to working at Capital on Tap, Shane worked at PaymentSense, where he was focused on scaling their sales and operations. Shane is our resident Aussie but somehow also our sole major league baseball enthusiast.
Simon ColesGeneral Counsel
Simon Coles is the General Counsel at Capital on Tap, responsible for all things legal, regulatory and compliance. Watching him navigate legal minefields is akin to watching a great conductor operate an orchestra, except a lot less interesting.
Prior to joining Capital on Tap, he was a partner at Fieldfisher and TLT in London and the General Counsel and Head of Compliance at MarketInvoice. Simon brings the driest of Irish humour to the office and claims to be a frustrated musician.
Zoë NewmanHead of Partnerships
Zoe Newman is the Head of Partnerships at Capital on Tap, focusing on finding new partners to bring onboard. Zoe was one of the first employees at Capital on Tap and our first employee recruited straight out of university (thanks UCL!).
Zoe is also one of our most active employees, cycling to work every day and getting on the tennis court whenever she has the chance. Her favourite tennis player is Andy Murray and she will wax poetically about him for hours if you give her the chance.
Alan Hart is the CFO at Capital on Tap, responsible for our capital markets and finance functions. His idea of a good time is building an excel model that has more tabs than necessary.
Prior to work at Capital on Tap, Alan worked at Ares Asset Management focusing on debt facilities and at Deutsche Bank in their investment banking team. In Alan’s spare time, he finds any way possible to squeeze a round of golf in.
Jamie Howard is the CTO at Capital on Tap, responsible for all things tech at Capital on Tap. Whilst a coder at heart, Jamie now runs the biggest team at Capital on Tap and has turned from coder-in-chief to interviewer-in-chief.
Prior to working at Capital on Tap, Jamie had over 17 years of software experience across media, engineering and the financial services sectors. While Jamie lives up to some of the stereotypes of a CTO (hint: huge nerd), he is also a gin enthusiast and connoisseur.
Alex MilesHead of Product and Operations
Alex Miles is the Head of Product and Operations at Capital on Tap, responsible for delivering the best customer experience possible. Alex also recently won the worst dressed award at Capital on Tap awards ceremony (the competition was fierce).
Prior to Capital on Tap, Alex spent a couple years at Barclays and then a boutique management consulting firm before making the leap in entrepreneurship and co-founding a sock company, Quiet Rebellion. Alex is a great squash player and really into reading about obscure historical time periods.
